Welcome to Mark Street United Church! Thanks for having a look at our website.

Mark Street is a congregation of The United Church of Canada. Drawn together by our quest for “something more” in life, we gather week by week to offer our living to God and to discover God’s deeper purposes for us, individually and as a community of faith. Our worship prepares us for our service in and to the world and strengthens us for the journey.

We are a community of hospitality. All are welcome here: all ages, all backgrounds, all races, all creeds, all sexual orientations; those with much faith experience and those with none at all.  All are welcome here.  YOU are welcome here.

We are a community of pilgrimage. This means that we journey through life together.  A song we sometimes sing expresses it this way:  “We are pilgrims on a journey, fellow travelers on the road.  We are here to help each other, walk the mile and bear the load.”  We laugh together; cry together; hold each other up and support one another through whatever challenges are occurring, whether personally or as a congregation.  We care for one another and for our community and world. We believe God’s Spirit is present in our midst as our Companion and Guide.

We believe there is a very special quality of faith and friendship in our church family. We welcome you to be part of our family. Come, try us out, introduce yourself, let us welcome you and be enriched as we share your journey too.

We meet every Sunday for worship at 10.00 a.m. Our Children’s Christian Education Program is held` at the same time; all ages spend the first part of the service together; children then leave for age-appropriate programs. Nursery care is available.
