Senior Chioir

The Musical Ministry of Mark Street is led by music director Vince Abrahamse, who accepted this position in October 2005. Vince has been playing the organ since he was 15 years old and has over 25 years experience leading church choirs. Vince also is the head of the music department at Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School. He has a strong reputation producing Provincial and National award-winning bands. The choir is 34 voices strong and sings in 4 part harmony. The music is a balanced blend of traditional and modern hymns and contemporary anthems. Our intention is to create a service that offers a variety of music to appeal to our congregation of all ages and at all stages. Organ, piano, keyboard, flute, guitar and percussion instruments are used on a regular basis.
The choir practises Thursday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m., September to June, in the sanctuary.
All members of the choir look forward to serving the church in voice and spirit, and welcome new members to be part of this important ministry.
